Designer Jeans, Are They Worth the Fit? (5)

It may be hard to shell out that much cash for one pair of jeans-but realistically, it is worth it because designer jeans (due to the premium denim) last much longer than regular jeans if cared for properly.

Besides, every woman needs "that pair" of jeans that gives them the confidence to strut their stuff. Not only will you feel confident because you're wearing "name brand jeans," but the denim, fit, and cut of these jeans will make you look hot!

Another distinguishing quality of a designer jean is the unique cut. Like I mentioned above, each jean has a specific cut, and designer jeans lead the industry in innovative designs. The popularity of skinny jeans are a great example. Originally worn in the 50's, skinny jeans made a comeback in 2002 on designer runways. It wasn't until 2005, however, that skinny jeans became a fashion trend and lower-priced jean companies started producing them.

So it sounds like designer jeans are the perfect fit, right? Well, not exactly. Designer jeans usually start out around $120 and can range as high as $850 or more.

The next differentiating feature is the superior fit. For some reason, the denim used to make designer jeans molds to fit the wearer's body type. It is important to note I don't mean these jeans are skin-tight. Rather, the jeans take on the intended fit and cut of the jean (such as flare, skinny leg, boot cut, etc.) and flatter the body type of the person. If you don't believe me, again, go to a store selling both types of jeans and try them on. Your butt will never look better than when you're in a pair of designer jeans!

But one must wonder, what makes these jeans so special that people are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for them?

It starts with the premium denim used to make the jeans. It may sound like a good marketing campaign, but the denim used to make designer jeans really is significantly different from the denim in a $29 pair of Xhilaration jeans. Next time you are at a department store selling both high-end and "regular" jeans, take the fabric in between your thumb and fingers and rub the material. You will notice the incredible difference in quality between the two.

Designer Jeans, Are They Worth the Fit?

Designer jeans. Are they worth the fit?
The answer is YES!
The designer jean craze started in the late-1970's with the introduction of Calvin Klein's, Levi's, and Wrangler's. People everywhere wanted to get their hand on, and their butts in, these jeans.
And over the last 30 years, the designer jean industry exploded with the launch of dozens of high-end jeans companies, like Seven for All Mankind, True Religion, and Blue Cult.
