Old Navy Jeans Are My Fashion Staple - Which Pair is Best for You?
The Test
Choosing Old Navy to suit my "dungaree" demands, I stopped in and tried on a few pairs of their long variety. Longing for a pair of perfectly fitting boot cut jeans, I picked up a pair of their classic rise boot cut jeans in a soft, Dark Authentic wash. Trying these jeans on, I was delighted at how comfortably they fit. But additionally, they were long enough, even in a size 8, for my long legs. The waist sits comfortably above the hips, without making me feel as if I'm wearing "Mom jeans." I wear these with casual blouses and sweaters, and have found that these are sublime for routine errands or casual day at work. Wearing them a few times loosens the fit; but the elastic touch helps them snap right back into shape after a wash and dry.For my weekend outings with friends, or for a day of shopping, I wear the boot cut variety of "The Flirt" in what Old Navy calls a faded, "whiskered" wash. These jeans are absolutely fabulous because they are sporty enough for evening wear, but casual enough for other social outings. The jeans' low rise feels very sexy on the hips. But the boot cut fit on bottom gives the jeans a slightly rustic appeal.
